Version 3.2.7 January 27, 1995
Ñ Added encryption of credit card information for registration by email, so that no one has unauthorized access to your credit card number.
Ñ Added a feature to Completion Options which opens a file or alias (or an AppleScript which has been saved as an application) when a synchronization is complete. With this feature, synchronizations can be chained, or special functions can be launched when a synchronization is complete.
Ñ Date and time is now presented in the format set in the "Date & Time" Control Panel.
Ñ When "Log copied files" is checked in Log Preferences, deleted files and folders are also logged.
Ñ The Application Menu is now available when an error has occurred, to allow switching to another application, such as the Finder, with the menu. Application switching was always available by clicking on another application's windows.
Ñ╩Changed "Shut down when complete" so that the Finder is asked to shut down under System 7. This causes the Finder to properly quit all open applications in turn.
Ñ Fixed a problem which caused the wrong files to be selected when using the "Resolve Aliases" and "AutoDoubler" options together.
Ñ Fixed a problem which could sometimes cause an automatic synchronization to be missed.
Version 3.2.6 October 27, 1994
Ñ Fixed the option "Don't copy files" "Whose names end with" so that it works.
Ñ Fixed a bug which sometimes caused a system crash after choosing "Save As..."
Ñ Fixed a problem which caused a system crash when setting the Log to keep more than 8000 lines.
Ñ Changed the Log so that when the limit on the number of lines is reached, no more than 10% of the existing lines will be removed at one time.
Ñ Fixed a bug which caused an error in deleting a folder to keep retrying that operation forever, even though "Skip" was chosen in the Error Preferences.
Version 3.2.4 and 3.2.5
Ñ Synchronize! Pro releases only. Synchronize! Pro mirrors one file server to another file server or a local hard disk, preserving user and group privileges. See "About Synchronize!" for more information on Synchronize! Pro.
Ñ Added a setup dialog which sets up a synchronization or a backup.
Ñ Fixed a problem with the Error Preferences and Log Preferences dialogs which sometimes prevented these preferences from being saved.
Version 3.2.3 September 4, 1994
Ñ All fonts are no longer searched when opening Synchronize!, which makes the program available more quickly on Macs with many fonts installed. Choosing "Log Preferences..." causes the fonts to be searched, which will delay the display of the dialog the first time it is opened.
Ñ Added a way to permanently turn off the warnings about removing files and folders from the list of files and folder to be copied.
Ñ╩Added the ability to copy files to and from a file server whose time is not in sync with the local Mac's time, after warning the user.
Ñ Fixed a bug which prevented more than 16,383 files from being copied. The limit is now the amount of available memory.
Ñ Fixed a bug which caused a crash when attempting to drag text from the Log if Drag and Drop is not installed.
Version 3.2.2 July 23, 1994
Ñ Fixed a problem which caused a deleted document to be re-copied when it was copied in the previous synchronization.
Version 3.2.1 July 20, 1994
Ñ Fixed a problem which caused conflicts and deleted files to be missed for a new unsaved synchronization settings document.
Version 3.2 July 15, 1994
Ñ Added dragging of folders from the Finder, for setting folders to be synchronized, and drag and drop of text to and from the Log.
Ñ Added display of the time of the next automatic sync to the settings window.
Ñ Fixed a problem which caused "Resolve aliases" to work incorrectly when the "AutoDoubler..." option was set to copy compressed files.
Ñ Fixed a bug which caused the Log window to sometimes incorrectly record file and folder names, particularly for Japanese systems.
Ñ Fixed a problem in which the option "Sync deleted files" didn't always remember which files needed to be deleted.
Version 3.1.2 June 24, 1994
Ñ Fixed a bug in which a nonexistent folder from the "Copy only folders..." or "Don't copy any folders..." settings caused the wrong dialog to be displayed.
Version 3.1.2 June 24, 1994
Ñ Fixed a bug in which a nonexistent folder from the "Copy only folders..." or "Don't copy any folders..." settings caused the wrong dialog to be displayed.
Version 3.1.1 June 2, 1994
Ñ Fixed a bug which sometimes causes the "Don't copy files" dialog to not display the date and time shown in the "Copy files..." and "Don't copy files..." dialogs.
Version 3.1 May 31, 1994
Ñ Synchronize! now runs on A/UX 3.0 and Macintosh Application Environment (MAE).
Ñ Synchronizing newer files in one direction only is now possible. Click the arrow to change the direction. Files will be copied in the direction shown.
Ñ When the Master box is checked, files in the folder the arrow points to will be replaced, even when they are being replaced by an OLDER file. This is not a change; Synchronize! has always worked this way. Now, however, the Master box no longer MUST be checked when the arrow points in only one direction.
Ñ The list of files to copy can now be put in the background.
Ñ Added "Don't open untitled windows at startup" to Preferences.
Ñ Added logging of copied files to Log Preferences.
Ñ Synchronize! is now aware of outline fonts, so that bitmap fonts are used for the main window and the list of files to copy.
Ñ Warning dialogs for the Master check boxes and the "Delete files and folders not in the Master Folder" check box were added.
Ñ The last left and right folders selected are remembered separately, to facilitate setting up multiple synchronization documents.
Ñ Invisible files and files on the desktop can be specifically included or excluded from a synchronization.
Ñ Selection of files "older than" or "newer than" a selected period of time, such as "3 days" or "5 weeks" is now possible. Choose "Copy only files..." or "Don't copy any files" from the Options menu.
Ñ Files and folders on the desktop are now copied when an entire disk is synchronized or backed up.
Ñ Fixed a bug which caused the program to hang under certain circumstances.
Version 3.0.7 March 10, 1994
Ñ Fixed a bug which caused system crashes and hangs (sorry) when conflict checking or "Sync deleted files" was enabled.
Ñ Holding down the Option key when clicking in the close box of a window will now close all windows.
